The 2026 World Series of Poker set a record with 251,899 entries, awarded $469.9 million in prize money, and collected $47.3 million in tournament fees.

While many players leave Las Vegas with smaller bankrolls than they arrived with, the World Series of Poker closed another historic summer from an operational standpoint.

Beyond the results at the tables, the numbers behind the 2026 festival provide a clearer picture of the scale of the series.

As the poker community awaited the Main Event final table, pokerfuse published a detailed numerical analysis of the 2026 World Series of Poker, including tournament fee figures and participation statistics.

The 2026 WSOP recorded a total of 251,899 entries, setting a new all-time record.

That figure includes re-entries, while statistics for unique players were not available. The record came despite many individual events experiencing lower participation compared to the previous year.

Those entries produced $469.9 million in total prize money across the festival. The Main Event was the fourth largest in WSOP history, creating an $85.6 million prize pool, which represented nearly one-sixth of the total prize money awarded during the series.

Tournament fees generated $47.3 million during the 2026 WSOP. According to the figures, $33.1 million was retained by the World Series of Poker, while $14.2 million was allocated to staff.

The tournament fee total stands out as one of the most significant financial figures from the series, particularly given the operational discussions that followed several dealer and tournament director errors reported during the festival.
