    Poker Tournaments News

GGPoker offers one of the largest tournament schedules in the online poker world.

Players can choose from multiple tournaments every single day, with everything from freerolls to high roller tournaments available, and you’ll find a range of stakes to suit all budgets.

As well as popular poker variants such as Texas Hold’em and Omaha, GGPoker players can also play exclusive and unique games.

As well as being able to enter WSOP events directly at GGPoker, registered players can also choose from a vast number of tournaments. Read on for full details of the tournaments you can play at GGPoker.com.

    Guaranteed Tournaments

Guaranteed tournaments come with a guaranteed prize pool. The guaranteed amount will be distributed by GGPoker as promised - even if the total collected buy-in amount falls short of the guaranteed amount. The guaranteed prize amount for each tournament is indicated in the tournament lobby, if applicable.

    Freezeouts

At the start of a freezeout tournament, all players will receive an equal amount of tournament chips. You are not able to add more chips once the tournament has started. If you lose all of your chips, then you will be eliminated from the tournament. If the tournament is not a rebuy tournament, then it will be a freezeout.

    Progressive Bounty Tournaments

In a Progressive Knockout (PKO) Bounty, each player has a bounty on his or her head. When a player is knocked out of a tournament, half of the corresponding player’s bounty is added on to the bounty of the player who knocks him or her out. The other half of the knocked-out player’s bounty will be awarded to the player who knocked them out as an instant cash prize!

    Rebuy Tournaments

All players receive an equal amount of tournament chips at the start of play. During the tournament, every player has the opportunity to rebuy (which is purchasing additional chips equivalent to the starting chip stack).

Players can rebuy at any time during the specified time period, when their current chip amount is equal to or below the starting chips.

If applicable, details regarding rebuy tournaments will be indicated in the tournament lobby when you log in.

    Satellites

Satellite tournaments are qualifying events that give you an opportunity to win a seat to the main tournaments where you will find a higher buy-in. You can enter Satellites to main event and Bounty Hunters tournaments in turbo and normal speed types.

    Turbo Tournaments

Turbo tournaments are fast-paced variations of regular tournaments with shorter blind and less time to act. GGPoker offer a variety of turbo tournaments including satellites and daily guarantees.

    Shootout Tournaments

Enter a Shootout where tables are not balanced as players are knocked out. Play continues until there is only one player remaining on the table. Once a winner has been determined in the first ’round’, all table winners are re-seated at new tables and a second ’round’ will begin.

At the start of each round, surviving players’ chips, and the blind level, are reset to the original tournament starting stack. All rounds continue this way until all the prize winning positions have been determined, and an outright tournament winner has been declared.

    World Series of Poker

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the largest and most prestigious gaming event in the world, and players can enter WSOP events directly at GGPoker, with international players around the world able to play Satellite events for the chance to secure a place at the tables in Las Vegas.
