The r/poker community and GGPoker are offering a free $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat for 2026. Participants can qualify through three May freebuy tournaments to reach the June finale and win a complete tournament package to play in Las Vegas.

The r/poker community is making its return to the grandest stage in live poker. Through a collaboration with GGPoker, the subreddit has announced the launch of the r/poker Goes To WSOP Las Vegas promotion.

This initiative provides community members with a direct opportunity to secure a $10,000 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event seat for the 2026 tournament, with the entire prize package funded completely free of charge for the ultimate winner.

This upcoming campaign follows a history of successful community representation at major international tournaments. Last year, the subreddit sent Remi Alamian to Las Vegas to play in the prestigious Main Event.

Following that, Aleksandar Kozomara represented r/poker at WSOP Europe in Prague, putting together an impressive run that lasted until Day 3 and culminated in a €12,500 cash. The 2026 promotion seeks to build on this momentum by sending a new representative to Las Vegas this summer.

The Qualification Path

The journey to the WSOP Main Event is structured around three qualifying heats hosted on the GGPoker platform throughout May.

These events are formatted as freebuys: they cost nothing to enter initially, but players who are felted have the option to execute a $2 buy-in to re-enter the field.

The schedule for the remaining turbo qualifying heats is outlined below:

Heat 2: Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 21:00 UTC
Heat 3: Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 21:00 UTC

To enter these qualifiers, players must navigate to the GGPoker tournament lobby and search for the terms r/poker. Access to each heat is password-protected. The necessary passwords will be made public 90 minutes prior to the start of each tournament on both the r/poker and r/GGPoker subreddits.

The qualification structure dictates that the top 75 finishers from each of the three individual heats will earn a spot in the final stage. This culminates in the Grand Finale on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 21:00 UTC, which will feature a cap of 225 total qualifiers.

The champion of the Grand Finale will be awarded the $10,000 WSOP Bracelet Pass, granting them direct entry into the 2026 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.

The opening flights for the Main Event run from July 2 through July 6, and the tournament is scheduled to play down to a final table by July 13.

Players finishing just short of the top spot will also receive value. Those finishing in second through fifth place will receive a $150 WSOP Express Step 4 ticket.

These entries feed directly into the WSOP Express satellite framework, providing additional routes to qualify for upcoming World Series of Poker events.

Eligibility and Strict Requirements

To participate in this exclusive promotion, players must adhere to specific operational and regulatory rules. Entrants must be verified members of the r/poker community.

Additionally, all players are required to hold a fully verified GGPoker.com account and have successfully finalized all necessary Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance procedures. Because the target tournament takes place within United States jurisdiction, all participants must be at least 21 years of age to comply with domestic gaming codes.

The grand prize is explicitly tied to participation. The $10,000 Bracelet Pass is completely non-transferable and does not feature any alternative cash value.

The eventual winner must be fully prepared and able to travel to Las Vegas to actively participate in the WSOP Main Event across the designated July dates.
