Stake Poker has introduced a $1,000,000 Bad Beat Jackpot designed to cushion the blow when a premium poker hand is beaten by a stronger holding at showdown.

The promotion provides financial payouts across participating cash game tables whenever qualifying high-ranking hands are defeated.

Qualifying Trigger Hands

The threshold required to trigger the Bad Beat Jackpot depends directly on the game variant being played. Higher card requirements apply as the number of hole cards increases:

Texas Hold'em: Four of a kind twos ($2222x$) or better
Pot Limit Omaha 4 (PLO4): Four of a kind fours ($4444x$) or better
Pot Limit Omaha 5 (PLO5): Four of a kind eights ($8888x$) or better
Pot Limit Omaha 6 (PLO6): Four of a kind jacks ($JJJJx$) or better

Hand Eligibility and Table Rules

Specific criteria must be met during the hand to trigger a jackpot payout:

Showdown Requirement: The hand must proceed all the way to showdown.
Hole Card Usage: Both the pot winner and the pot loser must use exactly two of their hole cards to form their final qualifying five-card combination.
Pocket Pair Requirement: To qualify with four of a kind, the hole cards used by the player must contain a pocket pair.
Player Count: A minimum of four players must be dealt into the hand.
Multiple Boards: If players choose to run the board multiple times, only the outcome of the first board counts toward the Bad Beat Jackpot.
Presence at Table: Players must be dealt hole cards and remain at the table until the conclusion of the hand to remain eligible for any jackpot payout.

Hold'em and Omaha tables share a unified jackpot pool, which is accumulated by allocating 3% of all Ring Game rake. Each Ring Game stake operates a distinct jackpot fund with distribution percentages scaled according to the blind levels:

Payout Distribution Model

Each blind level maintains a separate jackpot pool. When a jackpot is triggered, the payout percentages are split according to the following structure:

Bad Beat Opponent (Pot Winner): Receives 3.5% of the pool.
Other Eligible Players: Receive 2.1% of the pool, divided equally among all other players dealt into the hand who remained at the table.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility for the Bad Beat Jackpot is strictly limited to Ring Game tables displaying the designated Bad Beat Jackpot icon in the lobby. Non Ring Game tables do not participate in this promotion.

All jackpot prizes are awarded immediately upon the conclusion of the hand and are credited directly to

the winning players' wallets. Players can view past jackpot payouts in their personal transaction history.

Any player who leaves the table prior to the official trigger of the Bad Beat Jackpot forfeits all rights to a payout.
