Stake Poker is offering Centurion Series - 2nd Chance tournament. The event is scheduled for June 6, featuring a $50,000 guarantee. The $100 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em event offers an 8-max format, 20,000 starting chips, 12-minute levels, and up to 9 re-entries.

Stake Poker has officially announced the upcoming Centurion Series - 2nd Chance tournament. Scheduled for June 6, this No-Limit Hold’em event features an 8-max table format and offers players a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.

Registration for the event opens on June 6 at 10:30 PM. Players can secure their seats via a direct $100 buy-in or through available ticket entries. The tournament requires a minimum of 6 players to run and can accommodate a maximum field size of 10,000 players.

The structure provides participants with a starting stack of 20,000 chips. Blind levels are set to last 12 minutes each. Late registration remains open for 2 hours after the tournament begins.

During this period, players are permitted a maximum of 9 re-entries, with each re-entry priced at $100. There are no rebuys or add-ons available for this event.

The combination of a 20,000-chip starting stack and 12-minute blind levels establishes a relatively playable, low-to-mid speed structure, distinguishing it from hyper-turbo formats. However, the 2-hour late registration window combined with the option for up to 9 re-entries suggests that the early stages of play will likely be volatile and splashy.
The "2nd Chance" branding typically draws recreational re-entry traffic, which often leads to wider hand ranges across the field. Furthermore, the 8-max table format naturally increases aggression frequencies compared to traditional 9-max games.

If the tournament sees a weak turnout while maintaining the $50,000 guarantee, there is a possibility of an overlay. The tournament will transition to a 9-player format once the final table is reached.
