  • Ocean KO introduces random multipliers (0.4x to 400x) for every PKO bounty on GGPoker.
  • Legendary tiers can yield bounty prizes worth up to $1.5 million, with most spins below 1x.
  • The new format has quickly attracted large player pools, distinguishing itself with higher potential multipliers than previous versions.
Ocean KO: bounties just got bigger from the get-go.
Ocean KO takes the familiar Progressive Knockout format and adds a random multiplier to every bounty knockout.

The standard levels can produce multipliers from 0.4x to 400x, while four Legendary tiers can generate bounty prizes worth seven figures.

It’s like a mystery bounty on steroids smacking players with random bounties on every knockout.

Ocean KO's 400x Multiplier

The headline number is obviously 400x.

At the lowest Ocean KO tier, a $5 bounty can become a $2,000 bounty prize after a 400x spin.

The resulting prize is split equally, giving the knockout winner $1,000 in cash and adding another $1,000 to their progressive bounty.
MultiplierBounty Prize From $5Immediate CashNew Bounty
400x$2,000$1,000$1,000.00
100x$500$250$250
10x$50$25$25
1x$5$2.50$2.50
0.4x$2$1$1
The average multiplier is 1x, although the distribution is heavily weighted toward smaller results. According to the Ocean KO figures, 72.3% of spins are below 1x, while a 400x result is roughly a 1-in-50,000 event at the lowest tier.

The Standard Ocean KO Ladder

The first 10 levels are scaled according to the tournament buy-in.
LevelTierBounty Threshold
1Egg0.5x buy-in
2Fry0.6x
3Fish0.75x
4Shrimp1x
5Crab1.5x
6Turtle2.5x
7Octopus5x
8Dolphin10x
9Whale20x
10Shark50x
The important detail is that players advance based on their bounty value, not their tournament chip stack. A large knockout can therefore push a player through multiple levels at once.

The Legendary Ocean KO Levels

Once the bounty gets large enough, Ocean KO moves into its Legendary levels.
These use much larger fixed bounty thresholds and progressively tighter multiplier ranges.
LevelTierBounty ThresholdMultiplier
11Legendary Octopus$10,0000.5x to 10x
12Legendary Dolphin$50,0000.6x to 3x
13Legendary Whale$250,0000.7x to 2x
14Legendary Shark$1,000,000.000.8x to 1.5x
The Legendary Shark is where things get properly silly. A $1 million bounty with a 1.5x multiplier produces a $1.5 million bounty prize, split into $750,000 cash and $750,000 added to the winner's bounty.

Why Do Most Multipliers Fall Below 1x?

Ocean KO needs plenty of small results to make the huge multipliers possible.

The average multiplier remains at 1x, but the distribution deliberately puts most individual spins below face value. This creates the funding mechanism for the rare 100x and 400x results.

In other words, most knockouts won't suddenly make you rich. Every now and then, however, the RNG decides to throw a swimming pool full of gasoline onto the tournament.

Ocean KO Already Has Big Fields

The early Bounty Hunters Series results suggest players are willing to give the new format a spin.
The first three Sunday Ocean KO tournaments produced the following numbers:

$10$200,00023,443$215,675.60
$100$400,0005,926$545,192
$1,000$400,000692$657,400
The $5 Ocean KO Opener also reached 6,287 entries on October 6.

Ocean KO vs Other Jackpot PKOs

The concept did not start with GGPoker.

Winamax launched Space KO in December 2024, while Betclic introduced Smash KO in March 2026. Ocean KO takes the same general Jackpot PKO concept and pushes the headline multiplier considerably higher.

Smash KOBetclic50x

GGPoker is also the first major international operator to roll the format out beyond the French and Spanish markets where the earlier versions appeared.

Ocean KO Numbers Overview

  • 400x maximum standard multiplier
  • 72.3% of spins below 1x
  • 1x average multiplier
  • $10K Legendary Octopus threshold
  • $50K Legendary Dolphin threshold
  • $250K Legendary Whale threshold
  • $1M Legendary Shark threshold
  • $1.5M potential Legendary Shark bounty prize
  • 6,287 entries in the $5 Ocean KO Opener
Ocean KO is still a PKO at heart. The difference is that the value of every scalp now has an RNG component, creating a much wider range of possible bounty outcomes than a traditional knockout tournament.
