The World Poker Tour is heading to the People’s Republic of China later this year.

The 2024 season of the World Poker Tour will include a stop at one of the world’s foremost gaming locations, with the Wynn Macau playing host to WPT Macau this summer.

The WPT Macau festival will run June 18-24 and is headlined by a HK$40,000 buy-in Championship event.

The WPT Macau Championship event is scheduled for June 20-24.

World Poker Tour CEO Adam Pliska said in a press release: "Macau has long been a sought-after destination for us, wanting to deliver the WPT experience to the region. We look forward to an incredible event."

Another notable tournament on the schedule is a WPT High Roller event on June 19 and 20 with a buy-in of HK$200,000.

Wynn Macau, part of the world-famous Wynn Resorts, will assist in the marketing, production and management of WPT Macau, which follows in the footsteps of the annual WPT World Championship.

This will be the first time WPT stages an event in Macau.
