This week world-renowned Brazilian soccer star, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior made an appearance at the 53rd annual World Series of Poker.

After trying his hand in the Event #26: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship at the weekend, Neymar was joined by his friends for a special 'Neymar & Friends' tournament held at Bally’s the future Horseshoe Las Vegas on Monday, June 13.

The event featured 16 prominent Brazilian poker players, including André Akkari, for a prize pool of $10,000. 

Neymar Jr. is no stranger to poker. He takes time from training his body for the soccer pitch with PSG to train his mind with some of the best in the world. Time will tell if Neymar Jr. adds a highly coveted WSOP gold bracelet to his lengthy list of accomplishments.

The 53rd annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) is underway at its new home on the Las Vegas Strip inside Bally’s, the future Horseshoe Las Vegas, and Paris Las Vegas.

Between now and July 20, competitors from around the world are competing in one of 88 exclusive WSOP gold bracelet events.

Poker players can enter WSOP events directly by logging in at
