WPT Global has launched the Mystery Bounty tournament format on WPTGlobal.com and has also announced that the upcoming Fall Festival will feature the poker room's largest guaranteed prize pool to date.

The WPT Global Fall Festival runs September 8-30, with the poker room announcing players can win a share of $8.5million in guaranteed prize money.

The festival is open to all registered players and new players can use the WPT Global code NEWBONUS when registering a new account to claim the poker room's biggest welcome bonus.

The NEWBONUS code works in all countries and dependencies where WPT Global can be accessed, and allows new players to claim up to $1500 in bonus money when joining.

Fall Festival highlights will include:

Mystery Bounty Tournaments: Featuring heavily in the series, with $3million in total including a new daily $110 buy-in with a $40,000 guarantee.
Slam Events: The popular $55 Lucky $30,000 and $110 Nightly $27,500 Slams have been transitioned to the new Mystery Bounty format.
Flagship Events: The $3,500 WPT Championship ($1,000,000 guaranteed), $1,060 WPT Prime ($750,000 guaranteed), and $530 WPT 500 ($400K guaranteed) make a return, offering players a chance to compete for significant rewards.

As part of the Fall Festival, a $50,000 freeroll will also be available to all players!

WPT Global Mystery Bounty

As mentioned, WPT Global's new Mystery Bounty format is now live.

The new format provides players with an exciting twist on traditional bounty tournaments. This cross-platform feature introduces a unique element of surprise where the exact bounty amount remains a mystery until a player is eliminated.

As an example of how popular this particular format is, WPT Global have revealed that last weekend's $55 Lucky PKO ($30,000 guaranteed) broke its record entry number by over 130 after being changed to the new format, reaching 771 entries by the end of the late registration period!

How Mystery Bounty Works:

Beginning Phase: During this initial stage, you will focus on building your stack without any bounty rewards.
Bounty Phase: Once the money bubble bursts, the Bounty Phase begins, where you can win Mystery Bounties for every opponent you eliminate. Each elimination awards a Mystery Chest, and the amount inside remains unknown until it is opened.
Players can win multiple chests in a single hand, and in cases of split pots, the bounty may also be split.

The Mystery Bounty pop-out feature, located in the top right corner of the table, allows you to track the distribution of bounties, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay.

WPT Global Cash Game Updates

WPT Global has this week has also introduced an update for cash game players.

The changes are designed to maintain game integrity and provide a consistent playing experience, stopping any behaviours which may have the potential to damage games.

Should you leave a cash game and wish to return within 30 minutes, you will now be required to buy-in for the same amount you left with.

This feature applies to No-Limit Hold'em (NLHE) and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) games.

In PLO5, players will see the default buy-in screen with an option to buy-in for the same amount or more if desired.
